WEGOWEGO (Women Encouraging Global Outreach)
WEGO was formed in April 1945 with it's original name being Women's Missionary Society. It exists to reach out to those in need in our community and all over the world. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month, first meeting in the sewing house at 8:00 a.m. for a variety of sewing projects that include quilting, sewing, and sorting clothes, and later holding a monthly meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. The meeting time consists of a Bible/book study, prayer, song, and a business meeting. Activities of the group include: sponsoring a Mother/Daughter banquet, leading a Thank-Offering dinner and service, holding a Ladies Christmas gathering, hosting an August outdoor service and participating in a Mennonite Central Committee work day in Ephrata in April.
