What We Believe

Richfield Life Ministries Church Statement of Faith

1. We believe that the Bible is a divine revelation; that the original writings of the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and therefore the infallible Word of God; that it is the only perfect rule and final authority in all matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13
2. We believe in one living and true God, perfect, infinite, and eternal, existing in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. John 1; Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 1; Romans 5:8,9; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
4. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, is co-equal with the Father and the Son in all His attributes, and is sent by the Lord Jesus Christ from the Father to teach the believer, and to empower him to live in victory over sin. John 15:26; 16:7; Romans 8:1-16; Acts 1:8
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but in the sin of the first Adam the whole human race fell, and apart from Christ, is spiritually dead and lost. Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1
6. We believe that the Church consists of all those who are born again and who truly believe on Jesus Christ; that it is the Body and Bride of Christ; and that its primary mission is to witness for Christ among all nations. Acts 1:8; 15:14; Ephesians 1:22,23; 2:19-22; 5:26,27
7. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan who is the enemy of God and all true followers of Christ; a subtle being who ultimately will be cast into the Lake of Fire. 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9; 20:10
8. We believe that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior become the children of God, that eternal life is a present possession, that at death their spirit departs to be with Christ in conscious blessedness, and that at Christ's coming for the Church, their bodies shall be raised, and together with living believers then on earth, be transformed into the likeness of the body of His glory. John 1:12; 13:5-24; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51
9. We believe that all who persistently reject Jesus Christ in this life, and thus die in sin, will be raised from the dead, and throughout eternity exist in a state of conscious and endless torment. Mark 9:43; Revelation 20:11-15; John 5:28,29
10.We believe in the personal, imminent, and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 1:9-11; Matthew 25:31
